Ourborus Original
Ouroborus
Mixed Media on Canvas (59x28 inches)
Created in Mexico City, 2026
This painting went through twenty versions. Which is fitting, because it started as an Ouroboros.
The Ouroboros is the snake that eats its own tail, the symbol of the eternal cycle, death and rebirth, beginning and end. The goal was to capture that. But every version fought it. The snake kept refusing to close the loop.
Eventually, it just slithered into this, coiled in the grass, two tones catching light the way a river does, moving without a destination. Not consuming itself. Just existing.
The cycle broke. The snake got out.
Maybe that was the point all along.
